While at the hospital recovering, Amy can’t help but insert herself into her roommate’s case. Meanwhile, all the other doctors and nurses have to adjust to the once formidable Chief now being a patient.

Amy is allowed to return to work under strict guidelines and teams up with TJ to treat a patient suffering from mysterious liver problems. Sonya and Jake help an elderly couple navigate the final chapter of their love story.
